Friday, February 13, 2015

On Feb. 19 and 20, UNCW will host the inaugural Colonial Academic Alliance (CAA) Pedagogy Summit, bringing together faculty developers and e-learning specialists from CAA member institutions. This effort is supported by UNCW’s Office of e-Learning, the Center for Teaching Excellence, ETEAL and Undergraduate Studies.

Interactive sessions at the summit will explore topics such as faculty development, new and emerging technologies and online instruction. Participants will have the opportunity to share ideas, network with colleagues and discuss challenges at allied institutions.

Featured speakers include Richard Olsen, chair of the UNCW Department of Communication Studies, and Susan Aldridge, senior vice president for online learning and president of Drexel e-Learning at Drexel University. Both keynote addresses are open to all UNCW faculty members even if they are not registered for other summit sessions. Olsen will speak at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19 and Aldridge at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 20. Both talks will take place in the Education Building room 162.
