UNCW Welcomes Charlotte Businessman Kenneth R. Cameron Jr. to the Board of Trustees

The University of North Carolina Wilmington is proud to welcome Kenneth R. Cameron Jr. as the newest member of the university’s Board of Trustees. Cameron, who was appointed by the UNC Board of Governors, was sworn into office on Nov. 20.

Cameron, a Charlotte resident, is an accomplished business executive with more than 40 years of experience. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Donnelly F. Cameron Co. and is an investor in office buildings in the Charlotte area. His previous experience includes serving as Vice President of Business Development for Acosta Sales and Marketing.

Cameron earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, where he also completed one year of law school. His civic engagement includes numerous leadership roles. He currently serves on the Easter Seals UCP Finance Committee and Horizon Foundation. He is also on the Figure Eight Yacht Club’s Board of Directors and House and Real Estate Committees.
