UNCW, Greater Wilmington Business Journal Name NextGlass Coastal Entrepreneur of the Year

NextGlass, a locally owned and operated company, was announced as the 2014 Coastal Entrepreneur of the Year at the Coastal Entrepreneur Awards presented by the UNCW Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Greater Wilmington Business Journal (GWBJ).

"We are honored to be part of this event," said Kurt Taylor, founder and CEO of Next Glass. "We are a young company and it means so much to be selected for this award because it shows how much our community believes in us."

Next Glass blends science and software to provide incredibly accurate wine and beer recommendations. Their scientific extraction of each beverage's DNA combines with software that analyzes your preferences to ensure the next glass you pour is a great one.

NextGlass was one of 10 Coastal Entrepreneur Award category winners recognized during the breakfast event held at UNCW's Burney Center. The other companies and their respective categories are:

The Coastal Entrepreneur Awards are a joint venture of the UNCW Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the GWBJ. Created to foster entrepreneurial activity, the awards shine a spotlight on emerging entrepreneurs in the region and helps them connect with potential mentors, investors and clients as they grow their companies and create higher paying jobs in the region. The category winners will be profiled in a special Coastal Entrepreneur Awards section of the Greater Wilmington Business Journal.
