Social Work Sponsoring Talk on Preventing Child Abuse and Neglect

In honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month and Sexual Assault Activism Month, the UNCW School of Social Work is hosting Carrie Randa, Assistant Attorney General for the State of North Carolina, and Special Agent in Charge Mike East, of the NC State Bureau of Investigation, to discuss using multidisciplinary teams to investigate and prosecute child abuse. They will focus specifically on issues facing social service and health professionals who are asked to testify in court in these cases. The talk will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on April 2, in room 1051 of McNeill Hall and is free and open to the campus community.
