The Research Development Office (RDO) and Sponsored Programs and Research Compliance (SPARC) supports your efforts to develop and submit proposals for external funding.
The more notice we have, the more services we can provide.
RDO Support
RDO focuses on competitiveness. Please contact the RDO team to discuss your idea and planned submission as early as possible (at least three months prior to the sponsor deadline). Doing so ensures our team’s ability to support you at the fullest.
SPARC Support
SPARC focuses on compliance. Please contact SPARC's pre-award team to discuss your idea and planned submission as early as possible. Doing so ensures our team’s ability to support you at the fullest.
Find Your Sponsored Program Officer (Pre-Award)
SPARC is the only entity on campus with the authority to submit funding requests and accept awards for external funding of any kind on behalf of the university (grants, contracts, cooperative agreements, etc.).
All proposals will be routed in OSPREY for approval from department chairs, deans, and higher administration.
At a minimum, we ask that your provide a draft of your proposal and budget at least five business days prior to the deadline to ensure your proposal is in compliance with university, state, and federal regulations.
