Enrolling in more than 11 credit hours in a semester will require a registration override from the MFA coordinator.
Email Megan and request to be put on her (paper) waitlist. In-genre and 3rd-years will often receive priority, but Megan will send out an email with details when the visiting writer is announced.
For a DIS, you can do as few as a single credit hour and up to 3 credit hours. You’d agree to a plan with the sponsoring faculty member for expectations of meeting work requirements based on the number of credit hours. (The standard is a minimum of 750 scheduled minutes of instructional time or the equivalent [comparable level of work and student learning] per credit hour.)
Complete the DIS form and sign it, then have the faculty member sign it and forward it on to Melissa. Melissa will sign and forward it to the Grad School, and they will process it and register you for CRW 591. These details and more are all found in the FAQs for Current Students—the ‘Hot List’ in the blue column at right links to the DIS FAQ.
