The UNCW Public and International Affairs Association is a group of undergraduate students interested in politics and world affairs. We are affiliated with the UNCW Department of Public and International Affairs, but students from all majors are welcome to join.
We host guest speakers and lecturers, bring political films to the big screen at Lumina Theater, travel to political centers around the country- we do all this and more while having fun and strengthening political involvement on the UNCW campus.
Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society, is the only honor society for college students of political science and government in the United States. Faculty Advisor: Dr. Aaron King
The North Carolina Student Legislature (NCSL), founded in 1937, is the oldest active student legislature in the country. More than 5,000 students from more than 25 public and private universities, colleges, technical schools, and community colleges across the state have experienced the educational opportunity offered by the NCSL.
The Student Government Association's mission is to assure that student opinion and activities are an integral part of the University community, to ensure the development of freedom of thought, the exchange of ideas, and guarantee the rights and privileges of the students at this University.
The Office of Student Leadership and Engagement creates learning opportunities where UNCW students can enhance their desire to engage in their communities, build their capacity to lead, and increase their aspiration to serve others.
