Students took over all social media outlets for Battleground Restaurants in Wilmington, NC as part of their online English 204: Introduction to Professional Writing course. They were divided into groups of five, assigned a social media outlet to "take over" for the full semester and provided a full written proposal that outlines how each social media outlet should be utilized in the future for this specific context and business.
Communication studies and creative writing partnered to create a professional quality radio program based on Chautauqua, a literary journal. Faculty led their respective courses in developing half-hour literary radio programs, produced by communication studies audio production students and featuring the voices and work of creative writing students.
