Before
As North Carolina’s coastal university, UNCW has a long tradition of coastal and marine education and research.
Opportunities for education range from K-12 programs, to targeted baccalaureate degrees and opportunities for coastal and marine coursework within traditional majors, to master’s and doctorate programs. This broad set of disciplines touching on marine and coastal issues provides unique opportunities for multidisciplinary study.
Research spans a wide variety of discipline areas, ranging from theoretical and applied sciences to coastal policy and economics and providing unique opportunities for collaborative work. Support is provided by the Center for Marine Science and the College of Arts and Science, as well as several other colleges, departments and centers.
