UNCW to Introduce Mask-Optional Protocol
Based on recent guidance from the UNC System and NCDHHS, downward trends in COVID-19 cases on campus and within our community, and readily available vaccines and boosters, the UNCW health and leadership team has decided to ease some of the university’s pandemic protocols. Effective March 7, 2022 face coverings will be optional at indoor and outdoor UNCW locations except where required by state or federal law and regulations.
