Excited to stay residential this summer at MarineQuest?

SUMMER 2022 STATUS (Rev. 12/3/21)

Coastal-Cruisers-Circle.png

As of December 2021, the UNC System has not given UNCW MarineQuest permission to host residential programs.  We are, however, very hopeful that permission will be granted in early spring.

If permission is granted, UNCW MarineQuest will contact all students currently enrolled in any required residential programs including O.C.E.A.N.S., O.C.E.A.N.S. - Dive, Dive Hawks, and Oceans-17.  Any students who noted in their application of interest in attending as a residential student will be notified and given instructions on how to add the residential component to their enrollment.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Loggerhead-Photo.pngUNCW MarineQuest occupies a university residential hall for the duration of our residential offerings.  We share this space with other UNCW Academic Minor programming.  UNCW MarineQuest does occupy our own floors.  As a state policy, we do occupy one floor for girls and one floor for boys.

For Summer 2022, we will be staying in a NEW residential facility!  Loggerhead Hall will be your students home away from home.  The facility is a suite-style space with both single and double rooms.  If residential is approved with COVID limitations, Senior Program students will be required to occupy single rooms.  If residential is approved for Intermediate and Senior Programs, single and double occupancy rooms will be offered. Intermediate programs per the UNCW Minor's Policy are required to occupy double rooms.

Ready to see the residential facility? Tour Loggerhead!

DINING

UNCW MarineQuest works with campus catering for almost all student meals.  Most meals are eaten in campus dining halls like Wagoner.  In addition to eating in Wagoner student often have bag lunches to be eaten in the field or classroom.  We work closely with catering to accommodate dietary restrictions so that all students eat a balanced and healthy diet. If you have any specific question regarding food while at MarineQuest please contact us.
