Check out this interactive space located in Fisher University Union that is full of technology, which can be used creatively by students, faculty and staff for numerous purposes, such as group meetings, presentation rehearsals and more! The technology ranges from a virtual reality station to an interactive Smartboard to six dual-boot iMac computers complete with the Adobe suite. 

Drop by and take full advantage of the emerging technologies UNCW ITS has to offer. You may also stop by during our drop-in times for instructions on using the equipment.

  • Virtual Reality (VR) Station

    Yes, we have virtual reality! It's actually the same one that has been deployed in the Digital Maker Space located in Randall Library. You can use this technology for instructional use and for fun. So, stop by and see how this technology can enhance classroom instruction and student learning.

  • Collaboration Space

    You can wirelessly connect up to four devices to our TrueTouch interactive whiteboard with built in computer, camera, and microphone.

  • Studio Station: Lecture Capture

    You can use the studio station to record presentations, lectures, or short video clips.

  • Instructional / Computer Lab Space

    Our instructional / computer lab space consists of six dual boot (two operating systems are installed) iMac computers, meaning that you can choose between using the computer with a Windows or Mac operating system. We also have an instructor station at the front of the room with a large screen display that is great for teaching. The instructor station is ADA compliant and easily adjustable.

  • Interactive Monitor Station

    The Interactive monitor station has been deployed in several lecture halls and this technology allows you to write and draw on the screen.
