Information Technology Services supports UNCW's commitment to diversity and inclusion and unequivocally supports the principles and aspirations embodied in the Seahawk Respect Compact, created in 2008 and reaffirmed by campus leadership in 2019. ITS fully commits to constant self-examination to ensure that our own processes do not perpetuate systemic racism, sexism, or other forms of institutionalized discrimination.

We commit to diversity, equity and inclusion as a means to flourish individually, excel professionally, and advance knowledge in information technology.  We will accomplish this by fostering a climate rooted in mutual respect, drawing on intellectual strength, and producing innovative solutions from the synergy of our people.  While we have made efforts to address bias and inequities, we recognize this is a continuous journey. We need to confront our own biases and engage in the difficult but critical discussions necessary to move forward toward justice. We are committed to actively addressing the biases we hold as an organization that creates barriers for all people of marginalized identities. ITS is strongly committed to being agents of change for all our students, faculty, and staff.
