Global Teaching Opportunities

Semester at Sea

The Institute for Shipboard Education (ISE) is a private, nonprofit, educational corporation that administers the Semester at Sea (SAS) global study abroad program. ISE hires the faculty, staff, and professionals who travel aboard the MV Explorer each academic term. ISE hopes to attract the best professional faculty and staff interested in teaching global and comparative curricula, and in the management and operation of a shipboard education program. More information can be found here (external link).

We invite faculty to apply for an international teaching opportunity at the Ho Chi Mihn City Development Center HDLC in Viet Nam. Faculty will teach short, non-credit bearing, intensive courses to groups averaging 20-30. One course comprises 3 ½ hours per day for five days. Nevertheless, HDLC prefers that faculty teach two courses, which would involve 7 hours of teaching per day. Most students are full-time employees at the managerial level.
