SURCA Poster Showing

The Spring/Summer Undergraduate Research and Creativity Awards (SURCA) are offered each year through a partnership between ETEAL and CSURF and provide funding to support undergraduate students engaged in research, creative scholarship, or other independent academic work outside of their courses.

Each semester, Honors and CSURF share a display of the SURCA projects from the previous semester. These projects span numerous departments and settings, from the laboratory to the marsh to the film studio. We'll hold a reception where you can meet the student and faculty teams.

Learn more about SURCA here.

Honors Speakers

The Honors College hosts a Spring Speaker each year who brings to the campus an important, scholarly discussion that is current and interdisciplinary. Traditionally, prior to the speaker's arrival, a book group open to faculty, staff, and students is sponsored by the College to engage the community in the topic and promote discussion, debate, and opportunities for inquiry.

Dr. Isaac Prilleltensky

Dr. Isaac Prilleltensky gave the lecture "Mattering is No Laughing Matter: Using Humor and Science to Promote Wellness and Fairness."

In addition to the Spring Speaker, the Honors College hosts speakers in enrichment seminars and co-sponsors speakers hosted by campus organizations, departments, schools and Colleges.
