Community Engagement

Community engagement is a cornerstone of the Crossroads program and it takes a variety of forms.

Our innovative partnerships with our local middle and high schools and community agencies has received national attention and support. Crossroads, with over one million dollars in funding from the National Institute on Drug Abuse and local and state funders, has developed our Crossroads Adolescent Alcohol and Other Drugs Abuse Prevention Program, an evidence-based, effective program for preventing and delaying substance abuse.

Crossroads is actively involved in the Cape Fear Coalition for a Drug-Free Tomorrow to reduce alcohol and substance abuse by youth in the Wilmington area. Crossroads staff have served as evaluators for community prevention initiatives in Brunswick County and New Hanover County.

Overall, Crossroads is committed to creating community partnerships and making presentations in the community. Please call 910-962-4135 or fill out a program request form if you would like to arrange a program.
