Graduate Student Association

Graduate Research/Scholarship Poster Symposium

Prided for being a "research-based University with a dedicated teaching foundation," UNCW shares its desire for intellectual inquiry among its faculty and student population to develop ground-breaking discoveries across each of its many disciplines. Faculty, graduate, and undergraduate research opportunities are available in almost any field of interest. Combined with our state-of-the-art facilities, UNCW remains a leader in academic research.

This event will showcase graduate research, highlight the importance of graduate education and demonstrate the impact of graduate research on the health, welfare and economy of North Carolina.

Five posters that reflect a significant contribution to the state of NC and its citizens are selected to receive a M.A.D. award. The M.A.D. (Making A Difference to NC) award winners receive a framed certificate and a $100 stipend. Two of the awardees will be asked to participate in the Graduate Education Day events at the NC General Assembly.
