Dave Shuster, President of Shuster and Associates, provides managment consulting, training, speaking, and presentation services to private and public sector clients including federal and local agencies, hospitals and public health organizations, corporations, and consumer firms.

Dr. Shuster's varied career includes academic, industrial, military and entrepreneurial leadership experiences. Beginning as an Air Force electronics/radar instructor and field technician, he held diverse engineerin management positions with Burroughs, General Dynamics, RCA, and General Electric. His military engineering, logistics, contracting-training, publications and management background spans Navy surface, undersea, and airborne weapons systems (Terrier through AEGIS), Air Force ballistic missile systems (including ATLAS Ballistic Missile System development, training and operations work in San Diego and Vandenberg AFB) and various Army communication systems. He also developed and directed total quality, project and change management training and implemetation programs.

Dave's academic history includes ten years as tenured associate professor of political science, economics and management, and Associate Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Humanities at the Rochester Institute of Technology, Dean of Graduate Studies at ITT Technical Institute (offering a Master of Project Management [MPM] degree), and adjunct faculty positions in colleges and universities across the nation. His presentation skills are enhanced by his years as a classically trained vocalist and actor, having performed on TV, radio, theatre, and clubs.

Dave's numerous publications include papers, keynote addresses, and articles spanning engineering, logistics, teaming, total quality and project management, politics and economics. His latest book, Teaming for Quality: The Right Way for the Right Reasons, was published by the Project Management Institute (PMI) in February, 2000.

Dave earned his doctorate degree in higher education curriculum and administration and a masters degree in political science aat the University of Rochester, a pre-legal bachelor's degree at San Diego State University and diplomas/certificates in electronics/radar, systems theory and managment from public and private organizations.

His professional affiliations include, but are not limited to, Project Management Institute, American Society for Quality, American Political Science Association, Philosophy of Education Society, American Society for Training and Development and the Society for Logistics Engineers.
