Fraternity and Sorority Resources

We are in the process of providing you better and more relevant resources. We apologize for any inconvenience.

If there are resources you would like to see on our website, please contact our office.

Risk Management

As the chapter plans events for the semester, such as a retreat, philanthropy event or social, the Office of Student Leadership & Engagement encourages you to review your own chapter's risk management plan, to know and understand University and State laws/policies, and to review the resources provided by your national organization and national umbrella.

Academics

Fraternities and Sororities at UNCW are committed to excellence in academic pursuits. Historically, fraternal organizations were founded on the principle of academic success and friendship. Today, UNCW fraternities and sororities continue to promote scholarship by providing many options for their members. Tutoring, academic advisors, study buddies, scholarships, and awards are just a few opportunities available through a fraternity or sorority.

Standards of Excellence

Chapters are strongly encouraged to participate in the Standards of Excellence program which focuses on the four pillars of our fraternity and sorority community: Scholarship, Leadership, Service & Philanthropy and Brotherhood/Sisterhood. The Standards of Excellence program is used to determine two of our awards:

  1. Vice Chancellors Cup of Academic Excellence - highest scholarship score for each council
  2. The Bradley Cup - the highest total Standards of Excellence score for each council

The program is based on the work chapters complete during the calendar year. To see the most recent packet, click below.
