Andre's teaching experience includes 2D animation (motion graphics, gif animation, character animation), filmmaking in the wild, alternative forms of filmmaking (including 16mm cameraless filmmaking, hand-processing and creative crowdsourcing), documentary and experimental film production, and video post-production.

His short films have screened at several festivals internationally including SXSW, Ann Arbor Film Festival and Atlanta Film Festival. Andre's most recent short film, "cyberGenesis," a creatively crowdsourced short film won top awards at the 34th Annual Black Maria Film Festival and the University Film and Video Association 2015 conference.

Andre's community work includes founding and directing the Cape Fear Environmental Film Forum. For four years, CFEFF has offered grass-roots solutions to environmental challenges by presenting environmentally themed films and galvanizing conversation between filmmakers, panels of local advocates and audience members.
