Book Launch and Reading with David Gessner

David Gessner, author and Thomas S. Kenan III Distinguished Professor at the UNC Wilmington, will officially launch and read from his latest book, The Book of Flaco: The World’s Most Famous Bird, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13 in Kenan Hall, Room 1111.
The book chronicles the owl's escape from the Central Park Zoo, the yearlong odyssey and viral sensation that followed. It is set for a Feb. 18 release by Blair.
This event is free and open to the public.
