Spring 2023 Commencement

Friday, May 12

University of North Carolina Wilmington will hold its 104th commencement exercises on Friday, May 12 and Saturday, May 13. All four ceremonies will take place in Trask Coliseum and be available on the livestream page starting one hour before each ceremony is scheduled to begin.

Biology & Marine Biology, Chemistry & Biochemistry, Computer Science, Creative Writing, Earth & Ocean Sciences, English, Environmental Sciences, History, Interdisciplinary Studies, Mathematics & Statistics, Philosophy & Religion, Physics & Physical Oceanography, Gender Studies & Research Center and World Languages & Cultures   

College of Arts and Sciences (Social Sciences, Creative Arts & Graduate Liberal Studies) 
Saturday, May 13 at 1 p.m. 
Anthropology, Art & Art History, Communication Studies, Film Studies, Graduate Liberal Studies, Interdisciplinary Studies, International Studies, Music, Psychology, Public & International Affairs, Sociology & Criminology and Theatre 

The full commencement schedule and list of speakers are still being finalized. The ceremonies will last about two hours. Many colleges, schools, departments and programs will host departmental receptions and events from May 11-13. A full schedule and locations of these events will be posted on the commencement website in April.
