“Drop-In” Vaccine Clinics Through Oct. 15

Friday, October 15

Students, faculty, staff and community members interested in receiving a vaccine are encouraged to attend one of the upcoming “drop-in” vaccine clinics on the UNCW campus. The university COVID-19 Campus Vaccination Clinic will be held on the dates below. No appointment is necessary, and all are welcome. There is no cost to be vaccinated.

The clinics will be held:
  • Thursday, Sept. 30 from 1-4 p.m., Warwick Center (Pfizer)
  • Monday, Oct. 4 from 8:30-11:30 a.m., Mac Gym (Pfizer and J&J)
  • Tuesday, Oct. 5 from 1-4 p.m., Warwick Center (Pfizer and J&J)
  • Friday, Oct. 8 from 1-4 p.m., Student Health Center (Pfizer and J&J)
  • Wednesday, Oct. 13 from 1-4 p.m., Warwick Center (Pfizer and J&J)
  • Friday, Oct. 15 from 8:30-11:30 a.m., Student Health Center (Pfizer and J&J)
UNCW will be administering the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, approved for those at least 18 years of age or older. This vaccine requires only a single dose, which means recipients are considered “fully vaccinated” two weeks after receiving it. University officials were able to procure a small amount of J&J vaccine, which will be available while supplies last.

The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine will also be administered on a first-come, first-served basis. The university is offering this vaccine to community members 17 and older. This is a two-dose vaccine and will require you to schedule a second dose three weeks after the first dose. After receiving the vaccine, you will need to remain in the Warwick Center for 15 minutes.

COVID-19 vaccine booster shots are available for the following Pfizer vaccine recipients who completed their initial series at least six months ago:
  • 65 years and older
  • 18+ who have underlying medical conditions
  • 18+ who work in high-risk settings
  • 18+ who live in high-risk settings
