Printfest 2019 Art Exhibition

Thursday, June 06

Additional Information

The UNCW Art and Art History Department hosts the biennial “Printfest,” a daylong public printmaking showcase outside the Cultural Arts Building. Using a two-ton construction paving roller, a team of artists and volunteers work to print large-scale woodcuts.

Past Printfests have highlighted Cape Fear River Watch, Full-Belly Project and Cape Fear Guardian Ad Litem. The 2019 event highlighted the work of the Plastic Ocean Project. An upcoming exhibition in the CAB Gallery will highlight the work produced during the 2019 Printfest.

The campus and community are invited to a free opening reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 6 in the gallery space. The exhibit will be on view June 6-July 3.
