Annual Social Justice Symposium to Explore The Opioid Epidemic

A social justice symposium, "The Opioid Epidemic: What Do We Know & Where Do We Go?” will take place at 6:30 p.m. on March 20 in Cameron Hall, Room 105.

The symposium will include a screening of the WRAL documentary “Searching for a Fix,” produced by Clay Johnson. The event also includes a panel discussion with local agency representatives and a Q&A with:

  • Bernadette Calicchio, IV/HCV Testing and Linkage to Care, NC Harm Reduction Coalition

  • Bill Buck, Hope House Recovery Center
  • Lona Currie, member of the recovery community
  • New Hanover and Pender County District Attorney’s Office
