Just Us Performance Troupe Presents “Unfiltered”

Tuesday, April 17

UNCW Performance Studies invites the campus and community to “Unfiltered,” which will be enacted by Just Us: A Performance Troupe for Social Justice. Part of UNCW’s storytelling program, the autobiographical, original production features students’ experiences with social injustice.

Students in associate professor of communication studies Julie-Ann Scott-Pollock’s “Storytelling and Culture” course created the show, which focuses on personal storytelling as an art, a path to understanding and a persuasive communication practice.

“Unfiltered” will premiere Tuesday, April 3 in Leutze 125 and will continue on April 17 at Old Books on Front Street at 249 N. Front Street in downtown Wilmington. Both performances are at 7 p.m. and are free and open to the public.
