Watson College of Education Scholarships

The Watson College of Education is pleased to announce scholarships available to qualified students. A committee of Watson College of Education faculty will recommend recipients for each scholarship by the early part of May - each academic year. Scholarships are awarded for the following fall and spring semesters. You must be enrolled in a Watson College program of study at the time of application, and have an established grade-point-average within that program of study. Scholarships are reevaluated on an annual basis.

The general Watson College of Education scholarship application for the subsequent academic year opens on December 1 and closes on March 1. Applications must be made through the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid ( Upon submission, you will be considered for all Watson College Scholarships for which you are eligible. However, scholarships not shown on this website will need an additional application. Recipients will be notified before the end of the academic year in which they apply.

The North Carolina Principal Fellows Program

The Watson College of Education is an approved Principal Fellows Program Campus. The North Carolina Principal Fellows Program is a scholarship loan program funded by the North Carolina General Assembly and based upon academic merit (financial need is not a consideration) to assist interested individuals to earn the master's degree in educational administration in preparation for a career in school administration.
