Kylie Maarschalk
Kylee Maarschalk is an Ohio native in her ninth year of teaching at New Hanover High School. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Language Arts from Malone University in Canton, Ohio. She then spent her first three years as an educator at Brunswick Early College High School and began at NHHS in 2013 at the start of her fourth year.
During her time at NHHS, she has taught English I, II, and IV, Creative Writing, Journalism, and Yearbook. She served as the school's Teacher of the Year in 2015. Additionally, Maarschalk has been the Student Council Adviser, and currently serves as the school's Lead Mentor for their Beginning Teacher support program, Support on Site (SOS). Maarschalk was a part of the NHCS Emerging Leaders first cohort and continues to contribute to growing through collaboration with this initiative to enhance opportunities for all teachers in New Hanover County Schools.
