Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW)
UNCW's Randall Library, C.A.R.E. and Office of Institutional Diversity & Inclusion collaborated with the YWCA of the Lower Caper Fear and the Corning Native American Council to bring attention to the often overlooked issue of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW). The display of red dresses in front of the library is one of several locations in the Cape Fear region to raise awareness and advance changes to disrupt systems that contribute to the ongoing issue.
