Courage Rising: Equity and Inclusion Symposium
April 6, 2023
Watson College of Education
8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., lunch included
This collaborative day will allow staff, students, faculty, and community members to consider, learn, and question the equity, inclusion, and belonging work of the university. We believe that time spent in thought together will allow us the chance to find possible connections, inspiration, and meaning. Collectively, we can find strength to consider complex experiences and to courageously confront persistent injustice. Perhaps most important, we design this day with hope, embracing the belief that we can create a campus where every Seahawk belongs.
Join this campus-wide effort to:
- Collaborate with UNCW community members to learn and question Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging at work,
- Find strength to consider complex experiences and courageously confront persistent injustice, and
- Engage in a shared experience to make our community stronger.
Organizers:
- Donyell Roseboro, Chief Diversity Officer & Professor
- Christine Pesetski, Diversity & Inclusion Fellow, Assistant Provost for University Advising and Director of University College
- Teddy Howell, Diversity & Inclusion Fellow, Assistant Director of Residence Life
