Graduated December 2010 | Major: Geosciences

" I am a senior at UNCW majoring in Geosciences with minors in Environmental Studies and Geospatial Technologies. As a NOAA Hollings Scholar, I spent the summer working at the Hawai'ian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary in Maui, Hawai'i. There, I was able to work alongside NOAA scientists to develop a Climate Change Monitoring Program to implement into the local community. After the project, I presented my work in the National Science Education Symposium at the NOAA Headquarters in Silver Spring, MD. After graduation from UNCW, I plan to pursue a Master's degree in marine geology and some day work in coastal conservation."
