Commencement Ceremonies Header

The UNCW Virtual Ceremonies will contain traditional ceremony elements including commencement speeches from the chancellor, provost and academic deans. Graduates will be individually recognized by their school or college via slides that contain their name and university honors (if applicable). Ceremony livestreams will be accessible from the UNCW homepage and Ceremony Livestream page on Saturday, December 12. Both ceremonies will be fully close-captioned.

Fall Commencement Ceremonies will be livestreamed virtually on Saturday, December 12

Individual Ceremony Times:
9:30 a.m. Virtual Commencement Exercises for May 2020 Graduates
1:00 p.m. Virtual Commencement Exercises for August & December 2020 Graduates

*Please note that both of these ceremonies are taking place virtually. There will be no in-person audience or attendees for the virtual ceremony.

Name Recognition During Ceremonies:

Each graduate will be recognized aloud with any academic distinctions during the virtual ceremony. If graduates would like to assist the name readers by providing the phonetic spelling of their names, please complete the Phonetic Name Reading Form by Friday, October 30. The entries from the survey will be provided to name readers to ensure that graduate names are being read appropriately during the virtual ceremony.
