CHHS PED 101 Yoga Course Collaborates with paws4people

On April 19, the PED 101 Yoga Course invited the dogs and handlers from paws4people to join in on the lesson in the Student Recreation Center.

The dogs interacted with the students as they practiced yoga and brought a fun twist to the class.

“I believe that yoga teaches an individual to come back to a place of self-nurture and love,” Student Success Advisor Gail Picillo said. “The dogs naturally are nurturing and loving.”

paws4people is a group that raises, trains and places dogs in the homes of veterans, civilians and dependents living with disabilities. This nationwide organization has changed the lives of many, and their dedication to training and continued support of dogs is key to their continued success.

CHHS thanks paws4people and all the handlers and “furry teachers” for their involvement and terrific support.
