SSW Partnered With the NC Chapter of the NASW to Host a Community Dialogue on Gun Violence and Criminal Justice

In October, the SSW in partnership with the NC chapter of the NASW hosted a community dialogue on gun violence and criminal justice.

The panelists included Frankie Roberts, executive director of LINC; Captain Donny Williams of the Wilmington Police Department; and Lori Messinger, associate vice chancellor for community engagement.

The panel was attended by more than 60 social workers and was a crucial first step toward an open dialogue about how our community, especially social workers and law enforcement, can advance social justice through community partnerships.
