CHHS Dean Charles Hardy at Board of Trustees event

Dean’s Advancement Council

In spring 2015, Dean Charlie Hardy and Tanya Armour, CHHS Director of Development, formed the Dean’s Advancement Council.

The Advancement Council is a group of 25 individuals in our community who have committed their time to engage in the life and work of the College of Health and Human Services. Through engagement in meetings twice a year, the council gains knowledge of the work of the college and the ability to spread the work in their professional and personal networks. Additionally, Advancement Council members support the college through attendance at lectures and activities, making a personal philanthropic commitment and encouraging those with philanthropic interest and capacity to make an impact through charitable giving.

During their recent meeting, the Advancement Council members toured the Simulation Learning Center and heard from Dr. Alexia Franzidis, assistant professor in SHAHS, about the positive impact of experiential learning through study abroad in students.
