The following courses are needed for University Studies (general education requirements) and/or the BSN program in order to graduate. Please discuss your plans with a UNCW Advisor to ensure successful transition.

Foreign Language: Proficiency at the 201 level in a language previously studied (in high school or college), or 2 semesters 101‐102 in a new language. If you have not previously taken a foreign language, you must gain proficiency at the 201 level. A variety of languages are accepted; to the right are the course number equivalents: UNCW Foreign Language 101…… 111 at a NC Community College UNCW Foreign Language 102…… 112 at a NC Community College UNCW Foreign Language 201…… 211 at a NC Community College Example: If you took Spanish in high school, you will need to take SPN 201 at UNCW or SPA 211 at a NC Community College. If you have no previous Foreign Language, you could take SPN 120 and SPN 201 at UNCW. |
