Director's Welcome
I would like to extend a warm welcome to you from the College of Health and Human Services School of Nursing faculty, staff and students. Many of our programs are offered in flexible hybrid and online formats, providing our students versatility in their education. Our School has evolved from a small school of nursing into the largest school in North Carolina. We offer a variety of nursing and clinical research degrees at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
Located along the coast in Southeastern North Carolina with close proximity to rural counties, our location provides us with many opportunities for community and clinical partnerships that directly benefit our students.
Our clinical research programs provide students with the education, training and experience in the field of clinical research. Multiple careers in the field of clinical science are available to students after graduation. Many graduates work in the drug development industry with a broad range of responsibilities including, but not limited, to managing and monitoring clinical trials in the pharmaceutical industry.
Whether you are a prospective student, a current student or an alumnus or alumna, we invite you to explore our school, our programs and our faculty on our website to find what is right for you. Our faculty are committed to your success and are dedicated to providing high-quality teaching, clinical supervision and research. Everything you learn along the way and every milestone you achieve will prepare you for your future. Our school is not a destination, but a journey to the opportunity to touch the lives and the health of our community, state and the globe.
Again, welcome to the School of Nursing.
Dr. Matthew Gallek, Interim Director
