Anita Williams: PharmD., BCPS, Lecturer

Anita WilliamsAnita Williams is a clinical pharmacist who joined the School of Nursing faculty in 2008 as a part-time lecturer for the pre-licensure, clinical research and graduate programs. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University and Medical College of Virginia where she earned degrees in biology and pharmacy, respectively. She later received her Pharm. D. from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Williams completed a pharmacy practice residency at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro and is also recognized as a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) after receiving her certification in 2004.

Prior to joining UNCW full-time in 2019, Willaims worked at New Hanover Regional Medical Center for more than 22 years with experience in nephrology, neuroscience, general medicine, antibiotics and critical care. Currently, she teaches advanced pharmacotherapeutics in the FNP and MNE programs.
