Stephanie TurriseEarning a BSN in Nursing from Bloomsburg University in 1995, Dr. Stephanie Turrise immediately began working as a staff RN in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center. She also has experience in Cardiopulmonary and Cardiac Stepdown units. She went on to earn her MSN (adult nurse practitioner) and PhD in Nursing from Rutgers. Turrise also holds a Post-Master Certificate in Nursing Education. She joined UNCW as a lecturer in 2004 and was promoted to assistant professor in 2014. She serves as a course coordinator in the Adult Health 1 Nursing course for junior students and conducts junior level practical clinical experiences for BSN candidates on various Medical-Surgical nursing units at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Dosher Memorial Hospital and multiple community sites. In addition, Turrise maintains her clinical practice as a PRN Staff Nurse at J. Arthur Dosher Memorial Hospital and serves on an as needed basis in the cardiac rehabilitation department.
