Amanda Jeffries: MSN, RN, Lecturer

Earning her BSN from ECU in 2005, Jeffries began working as a staff RN in medical/neurological intensive care unit at Moore Regional Hospital. She earned her MSN with a concentration in nursing education in 2013 from East Carolina University, and began working as an adjunct clinical professor in the department of nursing at UNC Pembroke and then promoted to assistant professor where she specialized in medical/surgical nursing instruction, teaching courses in adult medical surgical and health assessment.

Jeffries came to UNCW in 2015, specializing in specializing in adult critical care nursing and online learning. She serves as a prelicensure clinical instructor for senior level nursing students in final adult medical/surgical rotation in the Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department setting at a local hospital. Additionally, Jeffries has created multimedia, unfolding case studies to substitute for missed clinical time for prelicensure students.
