Welcome to Athletic Training at UNC Wilmington!

We are excited you have expressed an interest in the profession of Athletic Training, and even more so that you have chosen to explore UNCW.

The Athletic Training curriculum at UNCW will prepare you for personal and professional success, while establishing the standard for excellence in Athletic Training education on a national level. We are especially excited about our program’s transition to the Master’s degree beginning in summer 2020. This will further position our graduates to become an integral member of the healthcare team.

UNC Wilmington, located between the Cape Fear River and the Atlantic Ocean, is recognized as one of the most beautiful coastal college campuses. It also ranks among the country’s best colleges for surfers! With more than 16,000 students, UNCW is small enough to feel like family, but big enough to meet a wide variety of people.

I encourage you to spend time reviewing the information provided on our webpage. Please feel free to contact me if I can answer any additional questions you may have. I sincerely urge you to consider joining the team of students, staff and faculty dedicated to improving the healthcare delivery to the physically active population at UNC Wilmington, across the greater North Carolina community, and beyond.
