Pine Valley Elementary Students Visit SHAHS During Health and Human Services Week

A group of 120 fifth-grade students from Pine Valley Elementary School visited campus to participate in Health and Human Services Week.

The annual event is part of the SHAHS mission to engage the community and educate youth in the Wilmington area. Students learned about the musculoskeletal system, respiratory/vestibular system, cardiovascular system, and about healing and care. SHAHS faculty members Boyce, Weber, Barnes, Brown and Schroeder helped make these lessons come alive through song and interactive presentations.

Following the lessons at Trask, the fifth-graders joined the community in the Intergenerational Walk, which started and ended at McNeil Hall.
