CHHS to Launch Master of Healthcare Administration Degree Program in Fall 2020

CHHS will launch its newest degree program, Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA), in the fall semester of 2020.

The MHA Program will be delivered one-hundred percent online in a seven-week asynchronous format. Courses will be delivered via the Canvas® learning management system, and prospective students will be able to start during one of six admissions entry points.

MHA Program Coordinator, Eric Richardson said for students meeting ideal admissions standards, the program can be completed in as few as 12 months.

“This launch is an exciting opportunity for our program to make a positive impact on the health and quality of life of residents in the state of North Carolina and beyond,” Richardson said. “Particularly those individuals, early and mid-level careerists, who are looking for an affordable, accredited and convenient solution for their professional development needs.”

The program will submit its Eligibility Statement as early as spring 2020 to begin the process of Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) accreditation. Additionally, the program and its courses will begin the process of becoming certified via Quality Matters.
