CHHS Transitions Athletic Training Degree to Post-Baccalaureate

CHHS is transitioning its undergraduate athletic training degree to a post-baccalaureate professional degree. CHHS now has SACS' approval, so student recruitment is underway. Admission will begin in August of 2019 and classes will begin the summer of 2020.

"We’re very excited to offer a new Master of Science in Athletic Training," Steve Zinder, MSAT program coordinator, said. "This program will build on the success of our undergraduate program as we convert to a graduate program, offering an even higher degree of professional education."

The new program will prepare students for a career in allied health care as a Certified Athletic Trainer. "Our MSAT graduates will be expert practitioners who can excel in a variety of athletic settings," Zinder added.
