CHHS Announces New Associate Dean for Academic Affairs

On June 26, 2018 Chris Lantz was named associate dean for academic affairs in the College of Health and Human Services. Lantz formally assumed his new role on July 1.

Lantz is a full professor with tenure and served in the role of interim associate dean for academic affairs during the 2017-18 academic year. Previous to that, he was the director of the School of Health and Applied Human Sciences.

Lantz earned his Doctor of Education in Sport Behavior from West Virginia University, a Master of Arts in Sport Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from West Virginia Wesleyan College.

Dean Charles Hardy said of Lantz's appointment, “Chris’s strong professional background and experience as former director of the School of Health and Applied Human Sciences position him to assume this important role,” said CHHS Dean Charlie Hardy. “His leadership will be invaluable as the college continues to serve a growing number of students seeking degrees in the critical workforce fields of health and human services.”
