Calling All Artists: Hooked on Arts Needs You!

Hooked on Arts Street Fair, a collaboration between UNC Wilmington’s Lumina Festival of the Arts and the College of Health and Human Services, is coming to Kenan Lawn July 14-15, 2018.

UNCW’S Hooked on Arts Street Fair celebrates the therapeutic benefits of creativity and the healing power of the arts, while providing addiction recovery education and resources to the community.

This family-friendly festival brings together art vendors, food trucks, free entertainment in the visual and performing arts, family fun and an opportunity to help the community. The festival aims to raise awareness and funds to support addiction-related services in the region. Proceeds from Hooked on Arts 2018 will sustain UNCW’s ongoing community partnership with LINC, a local non-profit organization whose mission is to educate and motivate youth to make positive life choices and to empower men and women returning from incarceration to be productive members of our community.

Hooked on Arts encourages fine arts vendors to participate. Booth payment of $100 is required after selection. Hooked on Arts will also feature a Chalk Art Competition on Saturday, July 14. Bring the sidewalk to life by creating colorful chalk masterpieces while competing for a $500 Michael's Store gift card! Registration is $20. For Art Vendor and Chalk Art applications, click here

Due to the nature of the event, no art depicting alcohol, marijuana, illicit drugs, or other addictive substances will be permitted.
