Dr. Linda Haddad Selected as Dean of the Loewenberg College of Nursing at the University of Memphis

April 18, 2022 - Dr. Linda Haddad, Director of the School of Nursing and Irwin Belk Distinguished Professor, has been selected to the position of Dean of the Loewenberg College of Nursing at the University of Memphis effective August 1, 2022.

Linda HaddadDr. Haddad has been an outstanding leader for both the School of Nursing and the College of Health and Human Services during her three years in the school director role. Moreover, she served two years as the Associate Director, making her administrative and faculty tenure at UNCW five years.

Among her numerous accomplishments at UNCW, Dr. Haddad has helped to successfully launch the DNP degree program, collaborated with faculty colleagues to revise the SON RTP and clinical faculty policy and procedures, and provided leadership for recruitment efforts within the School of Nursing to support current program growth and well-position the School for years to come. She also collaborated with the CHHS leadership team to pursue the goals and objectives of the CHHS Strategic Plan and the CHHS R2 Workload conversion policy and processes.

Additionally, Dr. Haddad has been instrumental in the development and implementation of the CHHS strategic and academic program expansion plans. Finally, she facilitated research and community service among faculty and students and further developed community partnerships, including the Nurse Advocate Board. Dr. Haddad is a tireless advocate for the creation of platforms which allow faculty and students to enhance health and quality of life for all people.
