Health and Human Services Week

Health and Human Services Week

The College of Health and Human Services invites you to submit a proposal for its 7th Annual Health and Human Services Week March 23-26, 2020, in celebration of all things related to healthy minds, bodies and communities!

This year, each day of the week will have an overarching theme related to the pillars of CHHS:

  • community engagement and impact,
  • applied scholarship and
  • interprofessional collaboration.

We are seeking proposals that disseminate new knowledge, that improve our skills and abilities, that challenge us to think differently about an aspect of health and human services, and encourages us to nourish our bodies and minds with evidence-based practices.

UNCW and CHHS faculty, staff, students and community partners are encouraged to submit presentation proposals. Of interest this year are submissions that involve results from community partner activities from a service learning course, a community based research project or any partnership from which we can learn best practices and impact.

If you have any questions regarding your proposal, please contact Dr. Ashley Wells, assistant dean of community engagement, at

We hope you will join us for a week that will fill your hearts, minds and bodies with inspiration and new knowledge!
