Declaring Your Major

University College has a webpage with information on how to declare a new major. If you don't need assistance, you can declare your new major online as follows:

Declaring Your Major Online

  1. Log onto MySeaport and click on the Academics Tab at the top of the screen.
  2. Click on the "Major Declaration/Curricular Updates" link.
  3. Read and follow instructions.
  4. Click on "Understanding Majors and Degrees" if you have questions.
  5. Make selections in the drop down menus.
    Selections should be "Arts and Sciences", "Bachelor of Science", "Information Technology", and then the current semester for the Catalogue year
  6. Click "Declare Major" to save and finalize the request.
