Association for Campus Entertainment (ACE)

ACE, UNCW's student programming organization, coordinates various student-produced events on campus. They provide a diverse schedule of programs and activities that promote opportunities for educational, social, and cultural growth for students and the campus community. ACE consists of six committees who work together to host events on campus: Boseman Gallery, Concerts, Films, Homecoming, Special Events & Activities, and Spirit.

Art for the Masses

Continuing the community tradition of making original art accessible to everyone, Art for the Masses (AFTM) features original art from up to 60 North Carolina artists. All art sold will be priced below $300. Participating artists will retain 100% of the proceeds from their sales.

Boseman Gallery

Boseman Gallery is facilitated by the students in ACE and curated by the Boseman Gallery Chair. Exhibits include an all-student show and an alumni feature. The exhibitions change 8-10 times yearly.

Leadership Lecture Series

The Leadership Lecture Series provides an exploration of leadership through stories and experiences shared by guest speakers. Students are invited to discuss and engage in political, cultural diversity, and economic issues as well as popular trends and topics that shape and affect their communities. The views expressed by our visiting artists, guests, or lecturers do not necessarily reflect the views of UNCW. Recent guests include Jerry Greenfield, Scott Dikkeres and Piper Kerman. Lectures are held in Burney Center. Tickets available through Sharky's Box Office.

Lumina Theater

UNCW's premier 330 seat cinema, located in the Fisher Student Center is the host to a variety of events and weekly film showings. Comprised of UNCW students, the ACE Films Committee selects and promotes the weekend movies played in Lumina Theater as well as the International Cinema Series, and traditions like the Hawk-In (UNCW's 24 hour movie marathon), The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Moulin Rouge! Lumina Theater also hires student projectionist staff the theater. Tickets are sold at Sharky's Box Office or through Vendini, $2 for students and $4 for non-students, and some films show for free.
